A Chrome extension that injects a data panel into the auction listing page. It reads the VIN off the page, decodes it, pulls title status, Carfax, AutoCheck, MMR and book values through the client's own subscriptions, then runs the client's own recon rates, fees and margin floor on top and ends on a maximum bid and a plain BID or PASS.
The client was paying a per-seat monthly subscription for a VIN-scanning tool and still finishing every car in his own spreadsheet, because the tool showed him what the car was but not whether to buy it — it had no idea what his recon rates, transport cost or margin floor were. Two buyers meant two subscriptions, and growing the desk meant growing the bill. He also bought on a private dealer marketplace the tool did not support at all, so on those cars he was back to nine tabs.
Built a Manifest V3 extension targeting the four portals he actually buys on, including the private marketplace. It detects the VIN on the listing, fetches each report through his own logged-in sessions and subscriptions, and renders one normalised panel so the layout reads identically whichever site the car is on. The arithmetic he had been doing in a spreadsheet — recon by his own labour and parts rates, auction fees, transport from that location, floor plan, then his margin floor — was moved into the panel, so it ends on the number he actually needed. The source was handed over with the build.
Nine tabs down to one. Installed across the whole desk at no extra cost, since there is no per-seat licence, and the build cost less than four months of the subscription it replaced. Coverage now includes the private marketplace that no off-the-shelf tool supported.
